Adults—Use the 5% solution on the affected areas of skin two times a day.

How do you know if efudex has worked?
Efudix Cream works by selectively destroying the abnormal cells that make up the AK patches in your skin, leaving normal, healthy cells mostly unchanged. During treatment your skin will become red and crust (caused by the abnormal cells dying) – this is normal and a sign that your treatment is working.
What does the erosion stage of efudex look like?
These darker spots tend to pucker and may even begin to scab. Skin that has reached the erosion phase, in my experience, is no longer soft or supple looking. It appears stiff and hard – mask-like, if you will.
Does Efudix affect normal skin?
